King Air Charter commenced business in 1996 at Lanseria International Airport.

Air Charter is a demanding environment, having to deal with diverse cultures, varying scales of economy and geographical challenges. King Air Charter takes great pride in meeting these challenges and over a number of years we have been able to deliver a first class service to all of our customers.

Our specialist aviation skills, resources and experience include operations for the United Nations, Emergency Relief, Freight and Passenger Operations for various Corporate and Leisure Customers.

The Management Team is passionate about aviation and boasts over 100 years collective experience within the Aviation Industry. King Air Charter has Domestic and International Non-Schedule Licenses and Aircraft Operating Certificates issued by the South African Civil Aviation Authority.

King Air Charter is the owner and operator of a substantial fleet of fixed wing and helicopters, which gives us a competitive edge over our competitors as we can be flexible on rates charged without compromising on safety and the quality of our product.

King Air Charter is the sister Company to King Air Services whose main thrust since 1991 has been aircraft and helicopter leasing for United Nations Agencies and Airlines.

To operate within a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption. King Air Charter is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, we support and enact on the following ten principles:


Human Rights

  • Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
  • Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.  

 Labour

  • Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
  • Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
  • Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
  • Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

  • Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
  • Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
  • Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

  • Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
